The Kingsbridge agricultural show has gone ahead without livestock due to restrictions brought in after the foot-and-mouth outbreak in Surrey.
It took place without cows, sheep, goats and pigs but there was a large poultry section and a family dog show to entertain the large crowd.
Livestock movement controls were put in place after the foot-and-mouth disease outbreak in Surrey five weeks ago.
But despite the missing livestock element, the 125th Kingsbridge Show was still hailed a success.
Jacqueline Broad, show secretary, said: "It has been absolutely fantastic. We couldn't wish for a better day.
"The lack of cattle and sheep hasn't made an impact on attendance, but it has been a bit sad. That said, it just seems to have made people more determined to come out and support us."

This year's show featured show jumping and other equine classes, an inter-hunt rally, donkey rides and live music from the Estuary Band.
The fire brigade made an appearance, while the Britannia Beagles and the hounds of the Dart Vale and South Pool Harriers were also on parade.
The show's food and drink tent was a showcase for local produce, while the craft marquee was bursting with locally-made craft items to admire and buy.
As usual the 2007 Kingsbridge Show took place at Borough Farm, Stumpy Post, just a mile north of the town.
Thousands of local people flocked to this year’s show and enjoyed its mix of live entertainment and rural run.
"What a show it was," said Natasha Heard from Kingsbridge. "It was my first ever visit but won’t be my last. Thanks to all the organisers for a great day out.”
"I missed the livestock this year, but there was still plenty to do and see," added Chris Duffy, also from Kingsbridge.
"The dog show was great and the horse jumping was really good to watch."
The Kingsbridge Show's livestock element was also cancelled during the 2001 outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease.
