A South Hams organic food firm has won two leading prizes at the 2007 'Taste of the West' Food and Drink awards.
Tideford Organic Foods, which is based in Totnes, scooped a gold award for its organic tomato and basil sauce and a silver prize for its organic beef stew.
"We don't really wear watches in Tideford. They just seem to make you either late for things, or put you in a hurry," a company statement reads.
"We take the same approach to our food - it takes as long as it needs to. That said, our range of handmade award winning pestos, soups, sauces and puddings are made to the highest standard here in our Tideford kitchens.
"We only use organic ingredients and lots of its grown right here in Devon."
Other local firms that won prizes at the 'Taste of the West' Food and Drink awards included Mike's Smokehouse, The Cottage Kitchen and Red Earth Kitchen.
